Okay, so strictly speaking, this isn’t about shopping in Algorfa, although technically it is – as I live in Algorfa, and I shop from home …
Maybe I should make things clearer! Like many of us here in Algorfa, I find it expensive to send presents to friends and family in the UK. I know there are always Amazon vouchers and bank transfers, but sometimes you want a personal touch over Christmas, and at birthdays. So what do you do? Well, what I do is send flowers and plants, but not through Interflora, oh no! That’s way too expensive. I use Bunches, and I have done ever since I first came to Spain 15 years ago, and long before that when I still lived in the UK. So how did I find this great online retailer. Like this!
Many years ago, I joined Topcashback discount portal, and that’s where I found first found Bunches. You simply join, using a UK address, and then when you want to shop online, go to the Topcashback site and search for the retailer or product you need. Click on the retailer and your visit will be recorded and you’ll get cashback on everything you buy during your visit.
You’ve probably seen the annoying Topcashback advert on TV with the bird going ‘Hmmm,’ but don’t let that put you off! You can save a lot of money on all sorts of things on Topcashback, because not only do you get cashback on all your purchases, there are often member-exclusive deals to be had.
Bunches runs a permanent discount offer for Topcashback users, so as well as the standard 8% cashback, you can save another 10% on your order using an exclusive code. Bunches also run their own loyalty scheme, where you earn ‘Posy Points’ on every order, which can then be redeemed against your next purchase. That’s an extra 5% off your flowers, so before you shop at Bunches, it’s worth joining Topcashback first. Why not sign up using my personal referral link, then we’ll both earn some extra cashback!
Why do I keep going back to Bunches? Lots of reasons really. The quality of the flowers is superb, and the prices are very competitive. And they deliver when they say they will. A few years ago, I sent my friend, Glenys, some flowers for her birthday. Around a month later, I flew to the UK to meet my new grandson and stayed with Glenys. I admired the flowers in her hearth, only to be told they were the same ones I sent for her birthday!
This wasn’t just luck either, consistently people I’ve sent flowers and plants to have remarked how long they have lasted. You can choose from a variety of different bouquets, by colour or occasion, and you can customise it with extra gypsophilia or decorative flower picks for a small extra charge. Opt for the free delivery card or pay a little more for a premium card and you can also add chocolates, a soft toy, mini birthday cake, birthday balloon or even prosecco!
Bunches only deliver in the UK, so you can’t use them to send flowers to friends and family in Europe and the rest of the world. However, it can be very useful if you want to send something more personal than a gift voucher or cash. You can also order a monthly flower subscription for an extra special gift that keeps on giving. Why not give Bunches a try and let me know how you get on in the comments?
