La Finca Ladies Days Shopping Experience
Here in Spain, Ladies Day shopping experiences are a great way to socialise, enjoy the good weather and food available and grab some bargains at the same time. Typically, these events are held in bars and other suitable venues during the afternoons, although they can also be arranged at other times. The idea is to have a variety of stalls selling good quality items and services so that ladies can do their shopping in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s not exclusively female – men are welcome too – but the stalls are focused on the sort of things ladies might be interested in, such as clothing, jewellery and toiletries.
Three local business owners have recently got together to organise their own events, and the first two Ladies Days in August were so successful, the bar owners have already invited them back. La Finca Ladies Days is the brainchild of Charlotte Carr, who sells ladies and children’s clothing under the brand name Bonita Olivia. She invited her friends Sheena Stewart, who gives beauty advice and sells Urban Retreat products through her Beauty Room, and Sandra Piddock, a clairvoyant and crystal seller trading as Sandra’s Soul Cave, to get together with her and organise regular events in the Algorfa, Quesada and Torrevieja areas.

The ladies first met at various pop-up markets, and soon found they all had similar ideas about what should constitute a successful Ladies Day. One thing they all agree on is that it’s not a good idea to pack the stalls in, since this limits the type of establishment that can accommodate events, and takes away the relaxation element if there are too many stalls to browse. They are also keen that goods offered should be best quality, and not the sort of thing that’s available freely at local markets and Chinese bazaars. All the invited stallholders offer unique products, so it’s a chance to buy something different.
Charlotte says:
The idea of a Ladies Day is it should be a relaxing time, where everyone can enjoy a drink and maybe some food with friends, take their time browsing the stalls and get advice and recommendations. That can’t happen if there are lots of stalls there, and it can also be a headache for the host venue, fitting everyone in and still making room for their customers.
For this reason, La Finca Ladies Days do not intend to allow more than 5 – 6 good quality stalls at their events. This means that even small venues can host a Ladies Day if they wish, and it won’t get too noisy or too crowded. There’ll be plenty of opportunity to chat to the stall holders, make your purchases and enjoy some relaxing time with friends. All the venues serve food, and some put on special offers for the event, such as tapas or an afternoon tea, so it’s a great social experience as well as a chance to do some shopping for yourself or buy gifts for loved ones.
Sheena welcomes the chance to meet new people and demonstrate her products. There’s always a ‘Try Me Tray’ to explore, and you can purchase the latest special offers there and then, or sign up as a VIP Customer for regular discounts. Sheena says:
I love introducing my products to new people, and a Ladies Day is the perfect opportunity to do this, since nobody is in a hurry to be anywhere else and it’s such a relaxing atmosphere. We’re all there to enjoy ourselves; it doesn’t feel like work at all.
Sandra sells crystals, mind, body, spirit books, oracle card decks and other spiritually themed items, as well as offering short Angel Card readings at the events. She says:
I’ve noticed more and more people are turning to spirituality for various reasons, and the short readings are very popular at Ladies Days. It’s also a great opportunity to talk about crystals, and help people choose the stones they want for themselves or others. These events are always very positive and high energy, because everyone is there to enjoy themselves. I love it.
If you would like to book La Finca Ladies Days for your venue, contact Charlotte, Sandra or Sheena through their Facebook pages, and if you are a small business and would like to join the pool of stalls for events, get in touch with information about your goods and services. Please note that only stalls with products suitable for these events will be considered, so unfortunately La Finca Ladies Days won’t accept funeral plans, mobile phone providers or energy suppliers. These events are for fun, shopping and a bit of pampering to leave behind everyday considerations for a while.
Charlotte designs custom posters for each event, and all the ladies will advertise across their business and personal social media channels, so La Finca Ladies Days will do everything they can to make your event a success. Charlotte, Sandra and Sheena look forward to seeing you soon at an event near you. Upcoming events listed below, with links to the venues.
