New monthly pop-up market at Algorfa Hotel
There’s a new shopping experience coming to Algorfa. From Saturday 8 July, Algorfa Hotel will hold a monthly pop-up market. From August, the market will move to its regular slot at 12.00 pm on the first Saturday of each month. This will be a year-round event, organised by La Finca Ladies Days.
Around a year ago, local businesswomen and Algorfa residents Charlotte Carr and Sandra Piddock began organising pop-up events at local venues, focusing on a relaxing experience with a small selection of stalls where ladies – and gentlemen – could shop, have something to eat and a drink and enjoy time with friends. Algorfa Hotel was one of the first hosts for these events and is so happy with the results they want to expand into a regular market, offering a wide range of goods and services from local businesses. In fact, they’re looking to fill the main bar/dining area with stalls! Here are just some of the people who will be attending the market regularly, along with links to their Facebook pages if applicable.

The brainchild of Charlotte Carr, Bonita Olivia offers a good selection of ladies and children’s fashion. Quality fashion at market prices, with something to suit every size, shape and budget. Charlotte also offers at-home spray tanning and hair extensions. Ask about these at the market.
Sandra’s Soul Cave is owned and run by Sandra Piddock, a clairvoyant, healer and author. Sandra does Angel Card readings and chakra clearings in the comfort of your own home, as well as offering a selection of crystals and other spiritual items at bargain prices. You can also pick up a copy of Sandra’s book, The Soul Cave, and get it signed by the author.
Claire Thomas just loves making jewellery, anything from fairy earrings to gemstone necklaces and chokers with wirework bees. Whether you want chunky or delicate, she can bring your vision to life. Think modern day heirloom pieces at affordable prices. You’ll never see another like it, because each piece is individually crafted with love.
Beautiful and functional creations, using the diamond painting techniques. Pictures, tissue box covers, bookmarks, keyrings, glass cases, stylish notebooks and journals. Diamonds are everyone’s best friend!
Emily Louise Holistic Therapies
Emily offers relaxing Indian Head Massage sessions in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Speak to her to discuss the benefits, or better still, try a taster massage for just €10 at the market.
Natasha makes beautiful yet functional items from epoxy resin, to her own exclusive designs. Key rings, earrings, soap dishes, ring holders, coasters – you name it, she makes it. And if you want a customised item in another style or colour, she’ll do that too!
Artist Janet brings you beautiful paintings, vases, bracelets and other jewellery, bookmarks and other items, many featuring her trademark abstract paint pouring technique. She also makes customised items to your own specifications.

Secret Shed Woodworks and Gifts
This is a family affair, with all members contributing to the stall. A big selection of personalised gifts and products for the home including plaques, shot glass holders, football fan stuff – the choice is varied, and new items are added to stock all the time. If you can’t find what you want, they’ll create it for you and even deliver locally.
If you want an original, hand made card at a price that won’t break the bank, look no further. Each card is different, and Denise can custom make them to your requirements. With over 1,000 cards to choose from, you’ll never be stuck for a suitable card again!
In addition to these regular stall holders, there will also be guest crafters and service providers, so you can be sure of a varied shopping experience every time you come to the Algorfa Hotel Monthly Pop-Up Market. And if all that shopping leaves you exhausted, stay and enjoy the fantastic views from the terrace with a cooling drink and maybe something to eat. It’s all set to be a fantastic shopping experiences, and you’ll be supporting local businesses, so save the date. The first market is on Saturday 8 July, and thereafter the first Saturday of each month, from 12.00 pm onwards.
